Ways to Give

Pledging
While any gift supports our mission, a pledge is a spiritual commitment: an intentional, prayerful promise to walk alongside this community in a given year. Pledging is not simply about funding a budget. It is an act of worship—offering back to God a portion of what God has given us. Pledges of time, talent, and treasure make ministry possible and express our shared hope for the future of St. John’s. They also allow us to plan boldly and wisely—dreaming, budgeting, and building our common life with confidence.

How to Make a Pledge
Pledge cards are mailed each Fall and are available at the back of the church throughout the year. We encourage you to prayerfully consider your commitment to St. John's each year. Kindly place your completed pledge card in the offering plate during Stewardship season, or bring it to the Parish Office during the rest of the year.

How to Pay a Pledge
Making a pledge and paying a pledge are two different actions. Making a pledge is your commitment to contribute a certain amount over the coming year. Paying your pledge means fulfilling that commitment through actual contributions throughout the year. To pay your pledge by making a one-time or recurring gift online click here. If you're updating a recurring gift, please remember to cancel the previous amount and set up a new one.

Giving is a spiritual practice, rooted in joy, connection, and the belief that each of us has a story worth sharing—a story of being found, supported, and sent out in love. Join us as we reflect, dream, and give thanks. Let us tell out our souls, together.

Memorial Trust Fund
The Memorial Trust was established more than 40 years ago as a way for parishioners and friends to provide financial support for the church outside the scope of our regular operating budget. Financial gifts and bequests can be donated to the Trust to celebrate special events or memorials, or to provide general support for capital improvements and projects at St. John’s.

The trust holds two major funds: The Ethel H. Lancaster Fund, used for capital improvements on the Church and Parish Hall, and the Junius L. Powell Fund, used for capital improvement—especially beautification—on any of the parish buildings, including the Rectory, the grounds, and for any other capital purpose.

You can make a gift to the Memorial Trust Fund through our online giving platform or by noting your intention on a check.
